According to the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications, Alexandru Oleinic, a number of important events will be organized during this week.

The most important will be the International Conference „Moldova e-Gov Summit" with the topic "Information Technologies and Communications for a better governing system". The conference will be held on May 18 and 19, Oleinic specified.

The Minister also said Moldova is among the countries with a middle electronic level, exceeded the world average indicator. Yet, it is under the level of the neighboring countries - Romania and Ukraine and below the average mark of European countries.

The annual incomes of he information technologies and communications of Moldova reached the level of nearly 6 billion MDL, or about 10% of the Gross Domestic Product. At the end of the last year, there were over 1200 enterprises recorded with about 13 thousand employees.
